The NNGI Spring Sale was a resounding success! It was so heartwarming to see so many people come together for this crucial and worthy cause. The positive energy of all involved was infectious. We loved all the smiles and all the curious questions. People came from all corners of Long Island, thus helping to ensure that our pollinators will have a wide range to find habitats in which they can thrive.
The Sale resulted in:
- 2200 plants purchased and distributed.
- 700 plant plugs distributed at the Northport High School STEM Fair, Northport Village Hall, and The Little Schoolhouse, and provided for multiple classrooms, teacher appreciation gifts and our hard-working volunteers.
- Support for five public installations: The Northport Public Library, the Harborfields Public Library, the Dix Hills Fire Department (via Girl Scout Troop #3090), the North Shore Land Alliance and the Robert Kubecka Memorial Organic Garden.
